Original Before and After Photos

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… 

Today a very quick Google search has shown a staggering number of competitors using Dr Ross Perry’s before and after photography on their own websites and youtube videos.

Unfortunately, the nature of the internet is such that it is relatively easy to reuse somebody else’s photography. That doesn’t make it right, or even legal. It is copyright infringement and it is wrong.

But at this point in time, we have two main concerns:

1. We would like to establish that all before and after photography on our websites is our own, illustrating the work of Dr Ross Perry. This includes a number of websites – www.cosmedics.co.uk , www.mole-removal.co.uk, www.skinsurgerylaserclinic.co.uk and www.veintreatmentcentre.co.uk
2. The results of our before and after photos are thanks to professional, doctor-led procedures. These include laser mole removal, minor surgery, cryotherapy, microcautery and minor surgery techniques.  We feel very sorry for the misleading use of our photography to imply that cures such as apple cider vinegar or special creams could create the results shown in our photos. Equally, our techniques do not include electrolysis – yet our before and after photos have been used as someone else’s for this treatment

You do have to wonder, if other companies have no results of their own to show, how trustworthy is their advice? Or, indeed, their procedures?

As always, the advice is that patients should be cautious in researching a company.
