Dr Ross Perry has revealed before and after results photos of earlobe repair surgery at Cosmedics Skin Clinics, getting rid of elongated piercing holes for a neater look.
The procedure was carried out as a day case minor surgical procedure at Cosmedics Skin Clinics in London. Local anaesthetic was used to ensure that the treatment was pain-free and comfortable throughout. Dr Perry carefully removed a little skin around the ‘hole’ so that raw flesh could be brought back together to seal the former piercing.
Stitches and/or steristrips are used while the body knits together the flesh to heal over the hole. The emphasis is on best long term result.

Who Needs Earlobe Repair?
Earlobe repair surgery is ideal for anyone whose earlobes have become damaged.
Stretched or elongated piercing holes can develop after wearing heavy earrings and can make the whole earlobe appear out of shape. In severe cases, the earlobe can split vertically into two flaps. The fashion for spacers or gauges has also created problems for patients who later wish to have a more normal earlobe again.
The problem is that earlobes with elongated or stretched holes are unlikely to heal themselves, as the flesh tends to heal around the hole.
However, surgery can deliver remarkable results in quickly restoring a more normal earlobe and ear shape, as shown above.
Even for patients requiring visible stitches, this is a small short term issue enabling them to regain smooth and normal earlobes.

Earlobe repair is a relatively quick procedure and generally takes no more than an hour including the consultation. Prices start at £750 for one earlobe (depending on requirements).
